HOW AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM CAN BENEFIT AN ORGANISATION

zentralisierung-der-supply-chain-organisationThe way numerous organisations all over the world are evolving, growing and competing with time, it invokes a natural impetus for the developers and founders to work astutely on new and innovative strategies to enhance the productivity of their respective dream child organisation. Out of many alternatives, Internship program, literally, appears like a knight in shining armour. Now, one may enquire how come an internship program, which apparently seems to be the result of an act of inclination of several applicants trying to grab a hand of real time experience as well as exposure, really be beneficial for an organisation conducting such program.

Here are some of the insights that I would like to present my understanding and experience regarding the subject matter.

  • An Internship is a platform that can enable the organisation to enhance its outreach to the student community and thereby attract potential customers interested in the services offered by the organisation. Firms that are newly established in other words startups can take advantage of this platform to maximise their outreach and gain as much reputation as possible. If an individual batch of students is satisfied with the Internship program, then they will attract much more students in years to come. Thus, Internship programs undoubtedly form a cardinal source of advertisement followed by significant repute genesis for the organisation at large.
  • Organisations are always in search for fresh and new ideas to execute their respective ventures, and here again, Internship can serve the purpose by providing pristine candidates, filled with enthusiasm, to work. Thus, the desired purpose is served along with appreciable quality output.
  • No one can disagree with the fact that Students pursuing Internships have his or her prime interest in the Certificate given at the completion of the Internship which he or she can use as a proof of their experience or something that he or she can put in curriculum vitae to enhance their chances of getting selected for a job interview. As a result, most of the organisations can take advantage of this obligatory competition (That they do so) and make the best use of young brains to perform the desired task with minimal investment.
  • Organisations hire employees to work for them by paying hefty salaries, depending on the qualification of the employed men. Considering the aspect of economic optimisation of the organisation, for some small and simple tasks, it becomes unworthy to spend excessive money in employing people to work. Instead, by hiring interns from reputed institutes of the country, the organisation can achieve targets with very little investment in paying stipend if required and awarding certificates to the trainees.

After a careful consideration of above-mentioned aspects, it is clearly visible that Internship can indeed play a pivotal role in benefitting organisations in any field, in their quest for achieving the desired success. The only thing necessary is a planned and structured organisation of an Internship program and ensuring that the program receives sufficient attention among the students because there is practically no deficiency of eligible candidates in contemporary society.

Importance of identifying our core skills

123

Of all resources, greatest resource is human resource and it undoubtedly requires sufficient care and development in order for a society to prosper both economically and socially. Apart from a broader perspective, identifying the necessity to make the best out of a precious human life, on an individual platform, is equally important. In its contemporary scenario, finding people with skills befitting their profession and vice versa is very rare. Infact, in the majority of the cases, we find people switching activities, finding no contentment with any of them. Probable reason might be an identity crisis. In the pursuit of making things work the way people like them, or in quest of imitating the way others have been successful, we forget to interact with our own selves. Our personal identity and interests have been subject to constant mutilation, and the end result is very disturbing. This kind of unfortunate development in the lifestyle of people behoves each of us to take a break for some time and think about our real identity and real interests. (more…)

Artificial Engagement: Good or Bad?

ppp.jpg

Being engaged in some or the other activity is the inherent tendency of every living being. However small or big the activity may be, with respect to significance, it is hard to imagine a life without any activity. And when it comes to human beings our actions have a deeper significance, for behind every such act there is the super-intelligent human brain. But the aptness of the proposed topic is justifiable from the fact that everybody in this world is suffering from the disease of identity crisis. The way people act is not out of their inner satisfaction but out of the need for satisfying others. Hardly such an artificial and hypocritical understanding and way of leading life can ever bring happiness to anyone. The reality is harsh and must be tackled. (more…)

Knowing the art of appropriate retrospection

Being retrospective is natural. But retrospection in the absence of appropriate intent and subsequent consequences can prove dangerous. The human brain is a complicated design in itself, and the extraordinary functioning of it even adds up to the complexity. So many thought processes go on in every second of an average human brain and not just that, so much ability it renders to let people achieve wonderful things that it’s been a subject of fascination for many since ages. And yet it is also the storehouse of memories not so sweet and not so good happened in the past. (more…)

Shackles of Mortality

Birth again, death again,
caught I’m in the shackles of pain,
life is a journey wth dramatic trails,
as I walk alone with melancholic strain

Dualities are part of my existence,
trying to overcome with all my persistence,
In truth, I always believe,
that victory follows honest perseverance

Families, friends, and relatives untroubled,
Knots of relationships keep me entangled,
when mortal loves another mortal,
consequences ought to be crumpled

tormented I am with desires insatiable,
in search of bliss, I render myself pitiable,
when suffering comes, I blame your jurisdiction,
little do I know how majestic is your subjugation

Give me the strength to fight against every odd,
and lead a life to please you oh my Lord,
shackles of mortality have bound me so tight,
who else can free them except you the supreme God?

Soiled Dew Drops

the dew-drops so pleasant
to satiate the dryness all over
let’s cherish the drizzling ornament

Is forgiveness practical?

There is only one defect in forgiving a person and not another. People take a forgiving person to be weak. That defect however should not be taken into consideration for forgiveness is a great power. Forgiveness is the virtue of the weak and an ornament of the strong. It subdues all in this world. What is there that forgiveness cannot achieve? What can a wicked person do unto him who carries a saber of forgiveness in his hand? Fire falling on the grassless ground is extinguished of itself. And unforgiving individual defiles himself with many enormities. Righteousness is the one highest good; and forgiveness is the one supreme peace; knowledge is one supreme contentment; and benevolence, one sole happiness.

From The Mahabharata
Udyoga Parva Section XXXIII

The above excerpt is acknowledging the power of forgiveness at the same time pointing that people who forgive can be considered weak. This shows that the Vedic tradition is not blind from the reality that forgiveness can be mistaken to be virtue of the weak.

To understand the practicality of forgiveness as a useful practice, it is essential to discern the crucial yet subtle difference between Trust and Forgiveness. Often we equate forgiving with trusting and this leads to a lot of problems.

Forgiveness essentially means to stop the feeling of anger or resentment towards a wrongdoer. Whereas trust is much more a positive thing. When we trust a person, we see him as more reliable, truthful and faithful. Forgiveness is about past but trusting is about the future. Understanding the difference between the two is essential for developing healthy relationship and take the correct action at the time of need.

Usually, we think, “When I forgive someone, the person who is under some guilt, is freed from that guilt”. Normal conception is that the other person’s guilt will be lessened.

The problem with this understanding is that the person committing the offence is not even conscious of his mistake most of the times and does not even seek forgiveness. And we feel there is no point in forgiving him. (more…)

Is over-reliance on technology, deteriorating the ability of humans to think for themselves?

“The means by which we live have outdistanced the ends for which we live. Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men.”
Martin Luther King, From Strength to Love

Human beings are capable of venturing into possibilities which are tough to imagine. The inherent nature of inquisitiveness present in Humans species enables them to achieve miraculous things. Advancement in science and technology is one of the prominent testimony of such Human perseverance. The present scenario is such that it is practically impossible to live a day without Technology coming into the picture. Technology has occupied a predominant stature in current human civilization. And sometimes it makes us wonder about the validity and the impact of the apparent predicament that technology is offering in the form of appealing objects in our day-to-day lives. Accepting the dominant role that technology has to play, not just today but for days to come, in solving the practical problems, it is imperative to find equivocal opinions over the impact of such technological influence on the thinking and creative abilities of man.
